Early Beginnings
Duchess China Works was founded in 1888 in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire the heart of the British ceramic industry.
The company became known for producing high-quality bone china tableware and developed a reputation for both elegant patterns and durable craftsmanship. Over the years, Duchess China became a hallmark of British fine bone china, combining traditional techniques with innovative designs with products sold into the UK and exported all over the world. 

Duchess China prides itself on being one of the last historic fine bone china producers in the United Kingdom, supplying luxury tableware, bespoke collections, and hotel ware worldwide. Maintaining a proud longstanding tradition of hand finished craftsmanship, with over three centuries of combined experience among its workforce. 
The brand’s heritage is celebrated through timeless designs, some dating back over 70 years, while also accommodating fully bespoke products tailored to modern clients.
