  • Fine Bone China is categorised as having more than 45% animal bone within the body formulation, it is this constituent that gives fine bone china its strength and translucent qualities when combined with Cornish china clay and feldspars.

  • All our fine bone china pieces are made at our factory in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom ' The Heart of the Historic Pottery Industry ' and we have been at the same factory from 1888. We source all our raw materials within the local or UK based companies.

  • Most of our undecorated and printed ware is microwave and dishwasher safe. Pieces with gold, platinum or other precious metal decoration should not be microwaved and is recommended to be hand washed.

  • There is always a misconception that fine bone china is a delicate product that can easily break, it is in fact one of the toughest and robust ceramic tableware and tea ware products with the strength coming from the bone ash used in the body composition and when fired the body becomes fully vitrified.
